I am currently a post-bach researcher in Dr. Natalia Drichko’s experimental
condensed matter physics lab at Johns Hopkins University. I graduated with a
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the Peabody Institute and a Minor in Physics
from the Kriger School of Arts and Sciences at Johns Hopkins University. I have
three years of experience in experimental physics research and over 16 years of
professional dance training.
As a scientist, I am drawn to the search for emergent behaviors in quantum
materials by developing new techniques that push the limits of physics. Using
my experience in optical spectroscopy and high-pressure experiments, I look
forward to exploring similar avenues of solid state physics.
As an artist, I am interested in exploring the connection between dance and
physics and how they can draw from each other to deepen understanding. I
believe bridging the gap between the arts and sciences can unite communities
and lead to innovative ideas.
